After more than four decades devoted to vineyards, wine, weddings, and the hospitality business, I’ve entered a new chapter.

Retirement has given me the opportunity to return to a story that has been with me for years—Varietal Tendencies.

What began as a novel inspired by wine, history, family, and a lifetime in the vineyard has grown into something much larger: an audiobook, screenplay, and cinematic project spanning generations—from the vineyards of wartime France to Oregon wine country and the counterculture of the 1960s and ’70s.

Stonehedge may have begun as a place for weddings and wine. Today, this website begins its own second life as the home of Varietal Tendencies.
